SEEKING SUMMER ON STAGE INTERNS -

We are seeking 1 or 2 interns to fill the following positions - 1 person can do the full days if they want or the role can be split in two! This paid internship will allow one or two passionate young people to gain experience in playmaking with young audiences.

 

SUMMER ON STAGE INTERN

Theatre Assistant - Morning Shift

DATES: June 25 - August 17

HOURS:

  • 8-12 am Monday -Thursday
  • 8am-4pm Friday (show days)

Salary: Paid - pay scale dependent upon experience

Theatre Assistant - Afternoon Shift

DATES: June 25 - August 17

HOURS:

  • 12-4 pm Monday-Thursday
  • 8am-4pm Friday (show days)

Salary: Paid - pay scale dependent upon experience

Join our team of motivated staff and enjoy the perfect balance of work and fun! Currently, we are looking for enthusiastic and creative individuals to work as a theatre assistant during our 8-week Summer on Stage camp program. You will work directly with our Acting Coach and Musical director to assist in all aspects of running the camp program, including playwriting, set designing and production. From top to tail you will be involved in this process. This is great for a theatre student or arts student who is looking to get some first hand experience with playbuilding.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Student Safety
  • Preparation of materials for upcoming camps
  • Assisting in the running of games, crafts
  • Assisting in creation of the weekly play
  • Assisting in behavior management
  • Assisting in the set-up, cleanup and running of the weekly play on Fridays
  • Assisting in the check in/out of students

Preferred qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in theatre or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Interest and experience in working with children
  • Responsible, organized and great time management skills

MARKETING INTERN

POSITION: Social Media Intern

HOURS:  5 hours/week commitment - Flexible schedule

DATES: ASAP- August 17 with the possibility of renewing per term of classes

Salary: Unpaid with the possibility of it turning into a paid position

 

The Social Media Intern is responsible for coordinating and executing the company’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. In this role you will work closely with the Creative Consultant and Artistic Director of PPAC to implement, track and monitor the social media strategy leading up to promoting our Summer Camp and new Fall classes. This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility for PPAC among clients and candidates. Those looking to gain valuable online media experience in a fast-paced dance studio are encouraged to apply.

 

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Work with the Creative Consultant to create and implement campaigns

  • Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis

  • Monitor analytics with social media team to identify viable ideas

  • Create engaging blog and social media content

  • Provide support to our marketing team at live and online events

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field

  • 2+ years’ experience in social media/marketing

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and Google+

  • Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights

  • Interest or background in dance preferred
