Ballet 1

In this class students will gain a more complete understanding of ballet technique. Emphasis will be placed on proper technique and alignment and increasing strength and flexibility. Students are expected to have prior experience in ballet and to be more self-disciplined.


Ballet 3B

This is an accelerated ballet class for committed students. More difficult technique will be introduced and students will be encouraged to strive for grace and poise as there will be an emphasis on performance quality. *These students are expected to take two ballet classes a week.



This class is for students who have had some ballet and jazz training. Lyrical dance tells a story. It is a technical form of ballet with the expression and interpretation of jazz. It is strongly recommended that jazz and ballet classes be taken in addition to this class. Students will perform a lyrical dance in the recital.


Theater Dance  & Acting 

Class begins with warm-up exercises that include both physical and vocal components. Students learn improvisational skills through theater games and exercises geared to encourage students to explore various emotions and different ways to express them through pantomime, scene work, monologue work, and character study, all while having lots of fun! These activities increase focus while also expanding vocabulary and encouraging children to speak audibly and clearly.


Acro Dance

The intermediate/advanced class takes the skills the student might already know and expands them to more advanced tricks. To be placed in the intermediate/advanced class a student should be able to do a standing back bend and be able to stand up from the back bend, front walk overs and round offs. This class will focus on elbow stands, one handed front walkovers, Valdez, back handsprings, aerials and the technique required to execute these moves with precision.


Broadway Jazz

This class introduces students to theatrical style dancing. Students will study the works of renowned choreographers like Jerome Robbins,(West Side Story) Bob Fosse, (Chicago), Michael Kidd, (Guys and Dolls), and Michael Bennett, (A Chorus Line). In addition, the class will reflect the styles of legendary innovators like Gus Giordano, Charles Kelley, and Jack Cole. (Recommended attire - Black leotard, tan tights, beige or black jazz shoes, or character shoes)
